The Position

We are looking for a Medior Sustainability Consultant to join the Sustainable Procurement team within our Industries consulting division. We are active across different sectors, including retail, healthcare, manufacturing and the public sector.

Key services that our Sustainable Procurement team deliver include:

  • Environmental footprint assessments at the organization and product level 
  • Impact reduction strategies and science-based target setting
  • Developing indicators for monitoring sustainability performance and circularity

In this role, you will work in project teams and primarily support through conducting research, interviews with stakeholders, and analysis. We are looking for someone who is proactive, enjoys communicating complex information into clear and actionable sustainability insights to clients through deliverables such as presentations, reports, and slide decks.

Our consultants may also operate across team boundaries within the division. For example, you may also work on projects with our circular product systems team, creating circular and sustainable production systems and business models.

The position is a full-time role. The start date for this position is flexible, but you could begin immediately. The position is based in our offices in Amsterdam.

About the Team

Our Industries Division works towards aligning material flows, product systems, organizations, and financial services towards sustainable, equitable, and regenerative delivery of meaningful products and services. The Industries Division consists of four teams. Three consultant teams focus on sustainable procurement, circular business models and sustainable finance. These teams are supported by the data team, with analysts who work on projects across the three consulting teams. 

We work with ambitious, motivated clients and position them to thrive in the regenerative economy. We work at the level of economic organization including influencing financial investment towards positive impact. We also advise clients on a very practical level, for example by designing circular product systems, and we advise organizations about their organizational impact, CSRD-needs and developing sustainable business strategies.

Your Profile

  • *Fluency in both Dutch and English is an essential requirement. 
  • Minimum 1-2 years relevant work experience preferred
  • Background in industrial ecology, industrial design, environmental engineering, material sciences, environmental management, or similar field of study
  • Also accepted: Applicants with relevant work experience, such as corporate environmental management, sustainable product design, or sustainable supply chain management
  • Foundational knowledge of key sustainability topics
  • LCA experience is a plus
  • Good writing skills in English and Dutch
  • Strong data analysis skills (comfortable working with large data sets in Google Sheets or Excel)
  • Excellent communication skills
