Elisabeth joined Metabolic’s Green Building team in 2021 to focus on implementing circular principles and systems thinking in the built environment.
Growing up in Leiden, Elisabeth learned the importance of a healthy and sustainable lifestyle, and she grew increasingly interested in health and sustainability over the years. Elisabeth obtained her bachelor’s degree in the built environment in The Hague, and she worked on the sustainable refurbishment of a national monument for her thesis. Driven by her interest in sustainability and technology, Elisabeth followed a master’s degree in sustainable building technology at the University of Nottingham, where she focused on the environmental impact of nearly zero-energy buildings. Her experience as a project manager and lecturer provided technical insight critical to her work at Metabolic.
