Through his education in Environmental Science (Bsc) at the Amsterdam University College, Daniel learned about the complex challenges that are threatening our collective ability to enjoy this world. He pursued a Masters degree in Urban Design, to pursue a career creating livable, happy and resilient cities.
Daniel joins Metabolic as a sustainability consultant in the cities team. In his work he focuses on the urban metabolism, resilient communities and building circular economies by addressing sustainability challenges from a larger systems perspective. He believes that this transition not only requires a technological shift, but also processes of collective decision-making and ownership among residents over the spaces they move through. He grounds his work in extensive research, data analysis and the social context of a system, to identify key leverage points and translate them into actionable strategies that work towards this vision.
